One of the most amazing things I learned in my Bible classes in college was about God’s amazing heart for the nations.
You see this thread of gold everywhere throughout the entire Bible…that His heart was never to just love and save one group of people, but for ALL the families of the earth to be blessed in relationship with Him.
One of my favorite stories in scripture is the famous story of Abraham when God makes a covenant with him–that he will use his offspring to bless the entire world (even though he was old and had no children yet at the time). God leads him outside and tells him to look up at the stars and count them…and that’s how many descendants he will have.
What was behind this promise is incredible…because God wasn’t just talking about blood descendants of Abraham, but He was including ALL the people that would be adopted into the Kingdom (because of the work Christ would one day do).
I did this set of these gorgeous African woman as a reminder of God’s heart for the nations. I’m so thankful that He counted me into the number of stars that day…as he did with so many other nations, families, and beautiful peoples of the earth.
