Mended in Gold

A collection of art portraits of people and faces celebrating God’s most beautiful creation–mankind–and also focusing on the beauty that comes out of brokenness.

There is a beautiful custom the Japanese use when repairing broken pottery.  They fill the cracks with gold and the flaw is seen as a unique part of the object’s history–which makes it even more beautiful.

This is such an amazing analogy when it comes to the brokenness of mankind…and how God touches our cracks with “gold” and uses our sufferings and trials to make us even more beautiful.

Each of these original pieces are touched with a metallic gold ink to represent the beauty that shines out of brokenness.
